Cute Inspiration

Hi all,
I'm so glad it's Friday, not only because I have the entire weekend off, but I'm going out of town to a scrapbooking retreat with a good friend. Can't wait to get crafting, so to start us off, here is my latest creation...

This little one is from 2Cute Rubberstamps and I actually broke out my colored pencils and Gamsol to color him in. It was a little tricky due to the fact that I used a digital image from my computer, so I had to try and keep the image from smearing when I used the Gamsol.
The flowers are from Prima, buttons from Hero Arts and the saying is actually a seal from the wedding section at Hobby Lobby. Gotta love when you come across these little treasures! LOL
Hope you all have a great weekend and take care,
Jodie

Happy Friday

Good morning everyone,
I just got back from the Intermediate Copic Certification Workshop in Orlando, and it was awesome. Not only did I learn a bunch of great techniques, it was wonderful to do crafting and be surrounded by great talent all day long. I'll be posting some pics later on in the weekend, but for now...

Here is my sample using 2Cute Rubber Stamps. This card is doing double duty today, as I am also participating in a blog hop, being hosted by Scrapping Everyday Miracles. They are hosting the blog hop for 2 days, so be sure and head to the blog to start and get a look at all the amazing creations.

The paper is from Stampin' Up and the image was colored in with Copic markers. The added bling is from Michaels and the photo corners are from Ecstasy Crafts.
Hope you enjoy the card and have a wonderful weekend.

Been Too Long

Wow, I can't believe it's been over a month since my last post...where has the time gone. I am SO looking forward to the weekend, first one off in a month! Here is one of the cards that I've been working on...

This little one is one of my favorites from 2Cute Rubberstamps.I've used him on a few different cards, just changing the color scheme to match my occasion. I colored him in with Copic markers, what else! LOL Then I added some dimension...
by adding mini pearls to simulate sprinkles, then cut out part of the image and raise it up to give a 3D effect, then finally...

I added my absolute favorite embellishment, Class A Peels photo corners. The metallic shimmer just adds that little extra something.
Now for those of you in the Jacksonville area, don't forget about the Scrapbooking Convention that is going on this Friday and Saturday, Sept. 9-10. I'm hoping to head there today before work, so maybe I'll see a few of you there.
Have a great Friday and Happy Crafting - Take care, Jodie

Hello Wednesday!!!

Good morning everybody,
Hope your day is starting off well. I'm heading into work later, but I just had to post my latest creation. This is an image from 2Cute Rubber Stamps, their digital collection.

I colored him in with Copic markers, then printed out a second copy of the image and colored in only the ball of yarn. I raised that up and of course added Stickles to give it pizzazz!!!

The little embellishments are from a pack of buttons that I found. I cut off the button shanks and added them to the card with Glue Dots. The metal saying is from Lasting Impressions, and the glitter dots, well honestly, your guess is as good as mine LOL. I found them in a stash of stuff, in a drawer, and don't laugh you know you all have that same drawer! LOL
Don't forget to participate in the latest 2Cute Challenge where you could win free stuff, plus they are having a Design Team Call. This is a great group of ladies to work with and Heidi, the owner is amazing.
Hope everyone has a great day and happy crafting - Jodie

Happy 4th of July Weekend

Good morning everyone,
I trust everyone is enjoying this holiday weekend. I just wanted to post one of my latest creations...

These little guys from 2Cute Rubber Stamps were colored in with Copic markers, Wild Orchid flowers were added, plus I had to put on a bit of Distress Stickles Rock Candy, and the paper is from a paper pack put out by K&Company.
I also wanted to mention that 2Cute Rubber Stamps has a Challenge going on that you will want to participate in. Heidi is great and her designs are adorable.
I hope everyone has a great weekend, take care,
Jodie

Versatility of Digital Stamps

Good morning everyone,
It seems I've been MIA lately but I've got a few projects in the works, so stay tuned for more ideas to come.
I have been a fan of digital stamps for a while now, so I thought I'd share some of the advantages of owning these digital gems.
One company I've been involved with is 2Cute Rubber Stamps. I've used one of their images here to create this ATC...

Once purchased you simply download the image and it's yours to use. With digital stamps you can resize them to fit any project. Here I made Crabby small so that he would fit onto an ATC.
Also you can change the color and quantity...

I resized the image even smaller, changed the color and copy and pasted him multiple times to create my own background paper! This is a fun & easy way to cor-ordinate your projects.
2Cute Rubber Stamps is hosting a challengeof Anything But a Card. This means that your project can be anything other than a greeting card. My entry is this ATC. Here is another 3D view...

After I colored in the image with Copic markers, I added shells then put Stickles Glitter glue onto them for added pizzazz.
Hope everyone has a great weekend and get crafty!!!

Bling, bling and More bling

Good morning everyone,
Made it back from my scrapbooking retreat and it was a blast. I can't believe how much I actually got done. Of course the fact that I pre-planned my work doesn't have anything to do with it! LOL
Here is one of the cards I created over this past weekend...

This little cutie was made with Mermaid and Friends. She was colored in with Copic markers and I wanted to enter her into a challenge so...

I blinged her out. I added Stickles Glitter Glue to the image to add punch, then I punched out photo corners and added Art Institute Glitter to them. But I couldn't stop there - LOL

For the final touch I added a string of pearls down the side, because let's face it, every girl should have pearls.
The challenge is from The Sisterhood of Crafters and it has to do with Bling, Bling and more bling!! Right up my alley.
Hope you all have a great Wednesday and don't be shy, I'd love to hear from you.
Take care - Jodie

It's Saturday...

Good morning all,
I hope you are having a wonderful weekend so far and that you're creative juices are flowing in full force.
As I mentioned yesterday, here is my card for the 2Cute Rubber Stamps Celebration Challenge.

This pair is ubercute and adorable. The image is a digital stamp called Cute Cherry Wedding and can be found in the 2Cute Etsy Digital Stamp store. Of course I couldn't just stop at coloring in the image with Copic markers so....

I pop dotted up the bowtie and flouwer, then added glitter for extra punch. The paper is handmade Washi paper, which I love, and the embellishments are Dewdrops.
Please enjoy and have a fabulous weekend.
Take care - Jodie

Friends & Fun

Well as we near the end of April, I wanted to created a card that reminded me of spring and summer. Nothing says summer, at least to me, like ice cream cones!!!

This image is called Artic Friends, which is one of the older digital stamps from 2Cute Rubberstamps. I colored in the image with Copic markers, but added a bit of flare with my newest tool...

This is a wax sealing tool that I bought at my local Hobby Lobby, and yes of course it was with a 40% off coupon - LOL. I melted the wax, then stamped the image into it with the stamp that comes with the kit. There are 5 images in total.

I then added glitter for the finishing touch, and voila, my card is done. I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend and happy crafting!!! - Jodie

Easter bunny is hopping away!

Good morning folks,
It's been a busy little while for me. My crafting gene has had to take a back seat to the living of life, but now I'm back and fired up to start crafting.
Here is my latest creation using 2Cute Digital Image. Heidi is a great designer and her images are adorable. She offers a great selection in both cling rubber and digital stamps, so be sure and check out her Etsy store.

We all know that I love the bling, but with this card I decided to go ALL out. I used glitter, beads, and pearls. The image was colored in with Copic markers and Art Institute glitter. My poor little fur babies were walking around with this stuff for days!LOL The dies are from Spellbinder and I just love their new labels and shapes!
I hope you all have a wonderful Easter weekend and have a creative day!

Happy Valentines

Good morning all,
Hope you are enjoying this cool weather. For those of you who know me, you all know that these temperatures are working for me, colder would be even better! LOL
Heidi, who is owner of 2 Cute Rubber Stamps is having a Valentine challenge, at her blog. You will for sure want to check it out, her designs are wonderful. Here is my card...

I wanted the image to pop, so the card was created with a "white on white" type of thing. I created texture and interest, but simply used white cardstock, mounted onto a white base.
The little guy was colored in using Copic markers, then I added more detail with Stickles glitter glue and gems. Hope everyone has a great weekend, and we'll talk soon!
