Hard to believe that November is now officially half over. Where is the time going? Since as many of you know my family is in Canada, so I have to start my Christmas shopping ASAP.
Of course this doesn't mean I don't take time out to create a card or two...
I made this simple card, not only for my design team committments at 2 Cute RubberStamps, but also for the weekly Mojo Monday challenge. I really wanted the image to stand out, so I kept the card pretty basic.
Hope you are all having a great Monday!
Take care - Jodie

Halloween is Almost Here - MOJO162
Good morning everyone,
I trust that you all had a great weekend. Mine was sort of busy, trying to get the house cleaned and organized for our company coming on the weekend. Rob's lifelong friend, John, is coming for the weekend, so needless to say I'll be a golf widow!LOL
Here is my latest creation using 2 Cute Rubber Stamps...
I thought I'd try doing a square card this time. The paper is from scraps that I had lying around, and of course I colored him in with Copic markers. The little gems in the corners are DewDrops and the saying is an AMuse rubberstamp. The main image is from 2 Cute Rubber Stamps, who just happen to be having a challenge going on. Definitely drop by and check it out. Heidi, the owner, offers a free digital stamp to use, so even if you don't have any of hers at the moment, you can still play along.
Also, this card is being used in another challenge for Mojo Monday. I hope everyone has a wonderful day!

Challenge Time at 2 Cute Rubber Stamps
Hard to believe that we are about half way through October already! I also wanted to wish my family and all my Canadian friends a Happy Thanksgiving today! Here is the latest challenge from one of the companies that I'm on the Design Team for, 2 Cute Rubber Stamps...
If the above link isn't working, simply go to 2 CuteRubberStamps blog and download the freebie image. Needless to say Heidi has outdone herself again with another super cute image. Here is my card, using said image...
I paperpieced the image (great thing about digital stamps, you just put the print paper in your printer and voila...super easy paperpiecing!) I then colored in parts of the images with my Copic markers, added ribbon, flowers, nailheads and punches, then stamped the saying on the front!
Hope everyone joins the challenge and has a wonderful Canadian Thanksgiving! LOL
So, everyone loves freebies and a good challenge- today we have both for you!
First, you can download your free digi stamp here!
Then, create something FAB and link it up at the bottom of the post!
It's that easy!
On Sunday the 31st- ONE of the entries will be randomly selected to win a
FREE rubber stamp from 2 Cute Rubber Stamps!

Can't believe it's October!!!
I'm ashamed to say that I hadn't realized how long it had been since I posted. A good friend of mine, Jane, (Hi Jane!) said that she hadn't seen a post from me in awhile. Little did I know how LONG that while had been LOL.
Here is my creation for today...
The image is from 2Cute Rubber Stamps. Heidi is an amazing artist with very cute and versatile images.
The paper is from KaiserCraft, an Australin based company. I colored in the images with my Copic markers, and finally the embellishments are Dewdrops.
I hope you all have a wonderful day, and expect to hear from me more often. Oh and I have to post a picture of our lastest addition to our animal kingdom...
Her name is Aurora and she was found in a friend's garage at 5 weeks old. She's about 8 weeks old now and a BUNDLE of energy. Our other little treasures are tolerating her at the moment, both of our other cats are senior citizens and can't believe what this little firecracker is.
Aurora is the sweetest thing and she is a welcome addition to our family!

Insomnia
There is nothing like a bout of insomnia to get the old creative juices flowing! LOL. I hope everyone's week has started off well. It's 3:30am and of course I can't sleep, so I thought I'd post my entry into the 2CuteRubberStamps Challenge.
The nice thing about this challenge is that they offer you a free digi stamp to use, there's no need to go out and buy extra stuff, but of course once you see all these adorable images, you will HAVE to have them all! LOL
This little guy was colored in with Copic markers BV00, BV02, and BV04.
I then added a charm with a few pearl topped pins to the ribbon for added interest. I also used Stickles glitter glue on the top of the cupcake, because let's face it there's nothing that says cupcake, like sparkles!
Enjoy the rest of your day and don't forget to leave a comment or two, they are much appreciated!

I can't believe we are past the half way point in August, where is the time going? Here is a card that I did for my weekly post to 2CuteRubberstamps...
I colored in the little guy with Copic markers, then added a bit of glitz with a Sakura Stardust Pen. I also embossed some of the cardstock using a Cuttlebug embossing folder, then did a little sanding so that the embossed areas show through.
Now onto other news, if you've enjoyed the 2CuteRubberStamps images, you are in luck. Just read the rest of this post...

My latest creation...
So a few of my friends are already getting started on their Halloween cards, and this got me to thinking. Since the fall is my favourite season, why not start making a few fall inspired cards. Here is the first one...
The paper is from a Basic Grey line, Eerie, and the stamp is from a clear set put out by Inkadinkado in 2009. The pearls were originaly white, but using the Copic Marker Airbrush system, I colored them to fit my project.
The background of the image and saying were also created using the Airbrush system.
Now these cards are also doing double duty, as I have entered them into the following contests...
Simon Says Challenge and
Mojo Monday Blog. If you haven't been to Challenge or sketch blogs I highly recommend it. Not only do they provide great inspiration for your projects, but often them can offer a starting point when suffering those creative blocks.

Congrats To Winner Number...
Three, yup that's right JayEm, you won the blog candy. Congratulations! I'll be emailing you for your address later today so that I can mail out your goodies.
Here is my posting for today...
This little guy is a digital stamp from the company, 2CuteRubberStamps. Heidi is great and the service can't be beat.
So, as far as construction goes, I colored in the little guy with my Copic Markers, and I used only cardstock for the paper. But as you all know me, I had to jazz it up, so I broke out my Cuttlebug folders and added pizzaz that way.
I hope you enjoy the card and can take away a little bit of inspiration from it.
Happy Monday!

Bombshell Hop
Hi everyone,
I hope your Wednesday is starting off well. It's July 28th and that means that it's time for the monthly blog hop with Bombshell Stamps. Here is my entry for "She's a Firecracker"...
The theme was red, white and blue, or military, or something to do with a firecracker. I used a Navy theme, colored her in with Copic markers, then added my embellishments.
The strip of anchor paper, I made using the anchor that comes with the set, then simply stamped to make my own print paper.
Now don't forget to hop on over to the other ladies in the hop...

Welcome One and All
Hi everyone,
Here is the beginning of my new blog, JLH Designs. I've been wanting to start fresh, and this seemed like a great way to do that.
I will still be having the same inspirational creations ( at least that's what I'm telling myself! LOL) plus I'm going to offer monthly blog candy to all the wonderful folks who leave comments or become followers.
So with that being said, let's get the party started...
Here is what I'm offering this month. All you have to do is leave a comment at the end of this post, plus if you become a follower, you will get an extra entry into the drawing.
I will hold the drawing on August 1st, and don't forget to leave your email address in the comment section so that if you win I can contact you for your address.
Take care everyone and have a great Thursday!
